'SUMMER CAMP' – The Installation
For Copenhagen Design Week, we have created an exclusive installation to be shown at other circle, a new design exhibition located at The Lab in Østerbro. Keep your eyes on this space as the our 'SUMMER CAMP' is built or to see it for yourself.
The other circle exhibition will be open to visitors from the 18th to 20th of June. Complete the registration form to receive your exhibition pass for access.
About the installation
Through an immersive setting that reimagines the warmth of a bonfire within the pared-back language of contemporary art, we are bringing summer camp nostalgia to the other circle. Set inside a clean white space, the 'SUMMER CAMP' installation invites visitors into a quiet moment of shared experience.
THE SOUND
The experience is enhanced through the use of speakers placed on top of the structure, which emit crackling bonfire sounds, blending nature’s warmth with the quiet surrealism of the digital output.
THE SCENT
The rare essential oil Betula Alba creates a smoky, leathery, and grounded scent with notes of charred wood and aged forest, evoking the atmosphere of campfires, weathered textures, and autumn air.
THE TASTE
The experience is brought to completion with marshmallows that are available to guests, individually wrapped in semi-transparent branded bags – a soft, sensory nod to bonfire rituals and the simple joy of indulgence.
